Kundalika River Marathon is probably the most beautiful and one of the toughest marathons in the country! The heat, the inclines, the rolling hills on the route makes it one of the formidable runs in the country, among the top few in India. Kundalika River/Kolad is 110 km from Mumbai and 100 km from Pune on the Mumbai-Pavel-Goa highway. This place is renowned for being the adventure hub and White Water Rafting on Kundalika River. Kundalika is a beautiful river originating in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra and ending into the Arabian Sea near the creek at Roha.
The river flows through thick forests and rice fields of a region of what was earlier the princely state of Bhor.

Kundalika Ultra Marathon is definitely, Situated on the banks of river Kundalika, having huge inclines and soaring temperature statistics.
Kundalika Ultra Marathon is a tough route to beat and is not for the faint hearted.

Race Details

This Marathon will be organized as per the existing safety rules and regulations imposed by the state,civic and police authorities. The marathon will be undertaken in safe conditions because we know the pandemic still exists. The marathon will comprise of various following distance categories, viz. 5 Kms, 10 Kms, 21 Kms (Half Marathon), 31 Kms, 42 Kms (Full Marathon) & 51 Kms (Ultra Marathon)

Run Distance - 51 Kms ( First Loop - 21 Kms & 3 loops of 10 Kms)
Cut Off time: 51 Kms - 7 Hrs.

5 Kms, 10 Kms, 21 Kms, 31 Kms(First Loop - 21 Km & Second loop of 10 Km) & 42 Kms (First Loop - 21 Km & 2 loops of 10 Km each).
Cut Off time: 25 Kms - 3 Hrs 30 Mins

Rules and Regulations :

The event participation has been limited, for only Runners who have taken both dose of vaccination.

 2.

All necessary COVID norms will be followed.

 3.

All Flag-offs will be Staggered.

 4.

We request all participants to follow Covid Protocols & maintan social distance.

Route & Elevation

It is an out and back route. You run the distance to the Half way mark point and back to the starting point. The route is good public road for the entire distance, along the Kundalika river. This is a difficult route! Ample water stations and aid stations stocked with energy drink and other runner needs are available. Route is wavy road with most of it along the Kundalika river and mostly tar road passing along the fields. first 3km and the last 3km of the route is all up and down hill, that part will prove challenging.

Campfire Night

The night before Kundalika River/Ultra Marathon is a nice party with camp fire, songs, dance, and merriment!. we all stay a day before the run at the Nature Trails Resorts, & have fun! It's not just a run , it's an experience!
We make sure it's a Runcation (Run +Vacation) and you get to have fun!

River Rafting

Kundalika is the only river in Maharashtra on which white water rafting is possible. This river has two hydro electric power stations at Bhira and Ravalje. Rafting is done on the let off of these hydroelectric projects. The rafting experience is very nice with 13 km stretch with nice grade III and grade IV rapids.

Camp fire night -Harmony with friends and family! Bring your musical instruments, and play us your tunes! The campfire is a special one, we always have a few regular singers, guitarists, etc.
